Barack the Casbah

Today marks the anniversary of Women's Suffrage. Yay women voting.

Thursday, August 28, Barack Obama will accept his nomination as the Democratic Party's nominee for the 2008 Presidential Race. Yay apoliticianwhoknowshiswayaroundaword.

After a quick search on my.BarackObama.com, here's a list of Brooklyn bars hosting the broadcast, I think I'll be having a Hop Obama that night:

But it's springtime...

Police Are Out in Force as a Neighborhood Simmers With Tension Again

To the west of where we live is the best bagel place in New York (I recommend a whole wheat everything with veggie cream cheese), and to the east is one of the best roti places (try the boneless chicken roti, so big you can split it with your equally as hungry roommate). Currently, in between these two locations a police watch tower is erected and my walk home from the subway is peppered with police on every other corner. It's funny how their presence makes the neighborhood feel less safe.
